These seminars/workshops provide both in-depth learning material and actual/practical exercises and drills in specific personal safety subjects. They are a perfect means of teaching large groups and are specifically designed to ensure that all attendees learn the maximum information in the minimum of time. TACTICAL AWARENESS
The best form of self defence is to simply not be where the trouble is. The philosophy of tactical awareness is self protection over ‘self defence’, as ‘self defence’ implies that you are already being assaulted. Instead, we want to achieve avoidance through awareness. When you hear about victims of street crime on the news, do ever wonder how they ended up in that situation in the first place? Let me show you how to not let that happen to you
With this Tactical Awareness seminar you will learn to:
See threats before they see you
Identify danger zones before you walk into them
Be a hard target
Maintain a high level of awareness without paranoia
Visually dominate your immediate area
Position yourself so that you can never be attacked from behind
Remove the ‘victim mentality’
Properly assess risks in the event of danger
Easy exercises you can practice in your own time to develop personal space awareness
CONFLICT RESOLUTION (the psychology of violence)
There is almost always a non-violent means of ending an attack if awareness and avoidance hasn’t worked. What’s needed is an understanding of the attacker’s psychology and our own human reactions in times of high-stress and when under threat of violence.
Conflict Resolution is really psychological warfare on a small scale, which is known as the art of fighting without fighting.
At this seminar you will learn:
The two types of threat you are going to encounter on the street
In-depth but uncomplicated practical psychology – why street crime occurs and what the attacker wants from you
Understanding the adrenalin process our bodies go through in times of danger
Body language skills – how to read intention, and how to safely communicate to the opponent
How to de-escalate a situation by knowing what psychological buttons to push
To position yourself for escape or counter-attack in a high-threat situation
How to maintain personal space
How to subtly, subliminally guide a confrontational situation towards a positive, peaceful result
PRE - EMPTIVE DEFENCE
There are times when an aggressive person will not allow us to use awareness or conflict management skills, and times when escape is not an option. For example, would you/could you simply run away from one or more attackers if you were with children or other family members? In this scenario, the best defensive option is to attack the attacker.
At this seminar you will learn:
Scientific reasons why you can’t afford to wait for an aggressor to assault you before you respond
Pre-fight indicators – learn to read subtle cues that indicate when an attack is immanent
The law and ‘use of force’
Psychological tricks for ‘predator/prey reversal’
Lining-up and positioning for counter attack
The art of maintaining a safe distance

ESSENTIAL PERSONAL SAFETY
This is a well rounded two-day course designed to prepare any person for the kind of threat they might encounter on the street or even in the workplace. Full of the basic yet most important things that all people should know if they want to feel truly secure in these highly confrontational times.
This 2 day Course includes:
- Tactical Awareness
- Conflict Resolution
- Pre-emptive Self Defence
This course expresses the Tactical Protection philosophy of personal safety:
“See the threat before it sees you. If awareness and avoidance has failed, resolve the confrontation with verbal and psychological tactics. If the aggressor will not be deterred or if the opportunity for dissuasion has not been given, attack the attacker before he attacks you. Finally, use the necessary level of force required to ensure a safe escape for your self or loved ones"
Personal Training
Personal instruction is available to those who would like to intensively study self protection. Students can be coached in the full spectrum self protection or can choose a specific subject they wish to master (unarmed combat for example).
This is also ideal for martial artists who want to broaden their ability with specialist subjects that are generally only available to military or police.
With intensive personal training, not only will you be given a greater chance of survival in these uncertain times, but you can actually create a role-reversal by becoming more highly skilled than any would-be attacker
